Prior to Bethan discovering the strawberry patch I've been collecting half-a-dozen strawberries a day. Not bad considering the plants are only in their first season. However, with a new picker on the job we may have already enjoyed our last strawberry this season.

These were some of the flowers at Dave and Kate's wedding yesterday. I was absolutely inspired by them and intend to grow all these lovely things in our garden.

2009 is turning out to be a rather good year. It was looking quite uneventful back in January, but it has been much improved by the engagements of three dear friends. The first being Dave Carter, who married the lovely Kate Barabas in Burton in Kendal, this afternoon.

Daniel's nursery class spent this morning in the river. They had a great time; catching cray fish, building cairns and wading about up to their thighs!
