holes in the roof friday 30th March posted by hannah
The sunshine has brought our builders back for a couple of days and their impromtu visit has meant that we now have two windows in our roof. We are making progress every day, but sometimes the day's work makes such a massive difference that it's really wonderful. The upstairs is now so light and lovely compared to how it was when we moved in just a few short months ago.
adam & pip thursday 29th March posted by hannah
We've really enjoyed Adam & Pip being in the lakes for a few days and our garden has benefited enormously from their visit. They were meant to be here on a walking weekend but spent most of their time helping us slash and burn! We are very grateful and can now see down the garden.
icy blast monday 19th March posted by hannah
The weather men were right, we've had a couple of snowy days. Yesterday; snow with gloom and today, snow with glorious sunshine. This picture was taken on our way home from Windermere yesterday afternoon.

breakfast with holly saturday 17th March posted by hannah
Daniel had a breakfast date with Holly this morning. Two years ago I would have struggled to believe that I would ever have been pleased to have an invitation to breakfast on a Saturday! But the days of a mid-morning wake-up and leisurely look at the papers being long gone, we had a very happy time eating chocolate croissants and playing 'Bob the Builder'.

country boy wednesday 14th March posted by hannah
We've been off-line again because our broadband provider has gone bust! Back on again now, we hope permanently. Here is our country-boy enjoying a walk last weekend at Hylands Park, Chelmsford (they have a very nice tea room, if you're ever in the area).
