happy easter      sunday 23rd march posted by hannah

We woke up to bright sunshine and snow this morning and were sledging on the scar by 8.30am! Daniel enjoyed an easter egg hunt around the garden and we built a big snowman. I've never woken up to snow on easter day before. More photos here.

snow stops play      friday 21st march posted by jonathan

Today Daniel introduced me to the delights of the new swings in the village, this is the latest addition which he & Bethan apparently enjoy together. It's great and can occupy up to 8 small people at a time. Then it was home for gardening whilst Daniel slept in his pushchair. When the snow became too heavy we packed up and all came in for tea, cakes and medals.

a grand day out     saturday 15th march posted by hannah

Today we've been to see Thomas the tank on the Lakeside to Haverthwaite railway. We rode Bulgy the bus and Daisy the steam engine, saw Trevor the traction engine, George the steam roller and the fat controller. Bethan was oblivious to the celebrities but Daniel had a great day.

the howgills     friday 7th march posted by jonathan

It's been a lovely week because of the mixed bag of weather that we've had. There's been a bit of everything but it's all been nice. Here's another picture from this week on the way home from work. The Howgills in the background have been looking particularly fine the last few days.

standing          sunday 2nd march posted by hannah

Bethan has a new trick. Tonight she pulled herself up to stand, holding onto the edge of the bath. It goes without saying that she was extremely pleased with herself.
