You can keep your costa brava... 16th September posted by hannah
It's been a long time since I've been to the seaside, but the great British beach did not disappoint us today. We had a terrific time at Dymchurch, via the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch steam railway. The beach was lovely, wide, clean and deserted and to quote Daniel; "we played and played"! More photos here.

Venice 13th September posted by hannah
I've been to Venice! Matt has been working there which provided a great hotel room and a good excuse to catch-up and explore this beautiful city. If you haven't been, put it on your list of must see places to visit. More pictures here.

Today we re-dedicated our church building following it's reordering over the past 6 months. I thoroughly enjoyed the service, which was considerably longer than our usual Sunday morning, but full of interest, creativity and worship. This afternoon, we played pooh-sticks on the river with the tribe of Ensoll.

chip supper 6th September posted by hannah
We've been proper tourists today. Sara's here for the weekend and she bought us all fish and chips in Ambleside. The rain fell (for a change), and the wind blew but we were full of smiles, holed-up in the chippy.

David and Roxanne Robins have been staying near Coniston this week and we have met up a couple of times. It's been really lovely to see them and we had a good catch-up on all the news from Tonbridge over a terrific pizza at Zefferellis.

We had 29 days of rain last month and the summer is definitely over so Bethan can no longer go barefoot! We went on a spending spree this afternoon and she now has shoes!
